Lunch and Learn: SBIR/STTR Introduction and Overview

The government’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs make over $2.5 billion in high-risk, non-dilutive capital available to innovative small companies annually. In this lunch and learn, attendees will learn SBIR/STTR program basics, including program purpose, eligibility, sources of funding and tools for proposal development. The class provides enough information for attendees to determine if they would like to seriously pursue a grant or contract proposal.

Directions and Parking:

The Halle Library is (#12) on this Campus/Parking Map. Parking is available in area (D4) – Bouwman Lot. This is a paid parking lot but your ticket will be validated upon arrival to the training session.




Refund Policy:  Refunds can be made up until 48 hrs. prior to training. No refunds after that time.

Do you know about Michigan’s SBIR/STTR Assistance Program?  The Michigan SBIR/STTR Assistance Program provides SBIR/STTR training and proposal development services to technology companies with most costs covered by a state grant. The program is managed by BBCetc.

Funds for this initiative were provided by the 21st Century Jobs Fund, a MSF program designed to accelerate the growth and diversification of Michigan’s economy.
