With over 20 years’ experience in biotechnology, Sara’s career spans academia, industry, and defense sectors. Committed to creative solutions for long standing challenges, Sara evaluates, integrates, facilitates and accelerates solutions development from concept to adoption for national defense applications. Sara holds a Doctorate in Virology and Gene Therapy and Undergraduate degree in Microbiology.
Mr. Reid Peirce
Mr. Peirce supports the S&T portfolio for transition into systems and platforms that defend the Joint Force against CBRN threats. He provides analysis and support to enable effective and efficient oversight and strategic planning. He also provides coordination and oversight for ODASW(CBRND) interests and initiatives with industry and innovation by driving engagements, developing analysis, and strategic planning.

The Michigan SBIR/STTR Assistance Program provides SBIR/STTR training and proposal development services to technology companies with costs covered in whole or in part by the state. The program is funded by the Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF), administered by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and managed by BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting.
