MI-TABA Program

Qualifying companies can choose from the following services to meet their unique needs.  The services can be selected in any order and are not dependent on other services.

*The Investment Ready Bootcamp*

A mandatory, in-person event that allows instructors a chance to work individually with each participant company to assess readiness and develop a commercialization roadmap. This two day intensive session will be held in the Metro Detroit area.
Topics include: how to value your company, appropriate corporate governance, how to setup a deal room, how to negotiate term sheets, trends within the investment community, and case studies.

• Dates: April 23 & 24, 2025 in Detroit, MI.

General Commercialization Consulting

Provided by BBCetc and the SBDC Tech Team.

• Customer identification/development: customer discovery guidance, developing pricing & go-to-market strategies, marketing & sales approaches
• Financing/fundraising: assist with investor pitches, fundraising approaches, strategies for negotiating licensing fees, deal term advice, valuation techniques & capitalization tables, and creating / using Term Sheets
• Strategic Partners:  how to contact strategic partners, developing business plans, engagement strategies

Cybersecurity Consulting

Led by Totem Technologies, a best-in-class cybersecurity consulting firm.  As a DOD prime contractor facing the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements, Totem was formed to provide small businesses the tools needed to prepare for the CMMC.

Who should apply?

• Michigan-based companies
• Have won a Phase I or Phase II SBIR or STTR (with any agency)

If you are a Phase I or Phase II SBIR/STTR awardee, we encourage you to apply before March 12, 2025.

• All applicants will be notified by April 2 whether they were accepted or not
• All accepted applicants are expected to attend the Investment Ready Bootcamp April 23-24
