Commercialization and transition plans can be a key differentiator in the SBIR/STTR programs. It is important to know what the agencies are looking for and how to go about developing a good plan. This session will review the requirements and guide you through where to start, what to include, and how to show your best self.
This webinar includes; tips on developing the components of a credible commercialization plan, including demonstrating market opportunity, product market fit validation efforts, developing a business strategy, an overview of IP strategies, and building a compelling team.
This session is not agency-specific, although some specific agency requirements and agency evaluation differences are covered.

Meet the Presenter:
Monique Branham
BBCetc Principal Consultant
Monique Branham joined the BBCetc in July of 2021, following 22 years of experience in the DoW. Monique joined the United States Air Force in 1999 and has an M.B.A in Aviation from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. While in the Air Force, she served as a Quality Assurance personnel of government contracts and a Resource Management Officer. Monique moved to the Air Force Space and Missile System Center (SMC) and became the SBIR/STTR commercialization expert. Her work was instrumental in finding leveraged funding from government, academic, and private sectors and writing intricate transition management plans led to the successful commercialization of SBIR topics that are currently operating on the International Space Station. Monique garnered leveraged funding for commercialization for over 20 SBIR topics. She has received awards from SMC for Innovation and leadership and has received an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force.

The program is funded by the Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF), administered by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and managed by BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting.
