Brian Bard is the Program Manager of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program at The National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), under the Administration for Community Living (ACL), under the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Before joining NIDILRR, Brian worked at the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services / Rehabilitation Services Administration (OSERS/RSA) as a grants management specialist handling assistive technology formula and discretionary grant programs. Brian’s portfolio includes grants in the SBIR program, the spinal cord injury model system, technology-related field initiated projects, Switzer fellowships, and ADA technical assistance centers.

The Michigan SBIR/STTR Assistance Program provides SBIR/STTR training and proposal development services to technology companies with costs covered in whole or in part by the state. The program is funded by the Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF), administered by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and managed by BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting.
