NIH has issued Notice NOT-OD-26-006, which expires multiple specific SBIR/STTR notice of opportunity funding opportunities (NOFOs) effective November 17, 2025. This means these opportunities are no longer accepting applications, regardless of their originally published expiration dates. The affected opportunities include various Phase IIB awards, clinical trial programs, and specialized initiatives across multiple NIH institutes.
We are monitoring the reauthorization situation closely and will keep you informed as soon as we have additional information. If the NIH SBIR/STTR Omnibus release is delayed for the January 5th deadline, you will have additional time to refine your application for the April 5th deadline—but maintaining momentum now will ensure you’re ready regardless of which deadline becomes available.
