NIH announces the 2023/2024 cohort for the Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) Consulting Services for NIH Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase II or Phase IIB awardees. TABA Consulting Services are part of a comprehensive NIH TABA Program, intended to help small businesses identify and address their most pressing product development needs.
TABA Consulting Services help SBIR and STTR Phase II awardees enhance their project’s potential for success in the healthcare marketplace by matching awardees with third party vendors to address an emergent need in one of the following technical or business areas:
- Intellectual Property Strategy and Services
- Market Analysis
- Regulatory Strategy and Services
- Reimbursement Strategy and Services
TABA Consulting Services support small businesses developing all types of technologies, e.g., medical devices, drugs, biologics, and therapeutics, as well as software, educational, and multi-media behavioral science products. The total value of the services performed by the vendors cannot exceed the maximal allowed value of $50,000. Participation in TABA Consulting Services is free to the small business awardee.
