Lynn Schwenning is a Primary Examiner in the material handling arts and is currently serving on detail as an Assistant for Outreach to the Regional Director and Regional Outreach Officer for the Elijah J. McCoy Midwest Regional Office. She joined the USPTO in July 2012 and was one of the first experienced patent attorneys who helped open the Midwest Regional Office. Prior to joining the USPTO, Lynn worked in private practice and as in-house patent counsel advising both individual and business clients on how to obtain all types of US and international intellectual property. While her focus was on obtaining both chemical and mechanical patents for her clients, she also assisted her clients with trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters. Lynn has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo.
