How to prepare and how to sign up for one-on-ones

BBCetc and the Michigan State University Research Foundation are honored to host the 2024 America’s Seed Fund Road Tour when it comes to Michigan on Monday, July 15, 2024.

Join us for this once-a-decade opportunity at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing for a day focused on connecting technology developers with Michigan innovation support programs and with SBIR/STTR program directors across all technology sectors.

The 2024 Seed Fund Road Tour will highlight the largest source of federal early stage technology funding, the SBIR/STTR program also known as America’s Seed Fund. Attendees can also participate in the Michigan Innovation Showcase that features resources from across Michigan that assist technology entrepreneurs.

Program directors from all 11 SBIR/STTR agencies will be on-site for the morning sessions, which include a unique opportunity for companies to meet one-on-one with federal SBIR/STTR officers. The afternoon program will feature resources from across Michigan that support innovation companies.

Federal Program: America’s Seed Fund

Managed by the SBA, America's Seed Fund Road Tour is a national outreach effort to connect innovators and entrepreneurs to non-dilutive, technology funding opportunities provided through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, collectively known as "America's Seed Fund". The morning program will feature:

  • SBA Overview of the basics of America’s Seed Fund (SBIR/STTR)
  • Reverse Pitches from Federal Agency Representatives describing the unique features of the SBIR/STTR program at that agency
  • Panels & Presentations on how to effectively participate in SBIR/STTR
  • One-on-One meetings with Federal Agency Representatives

Advance registration and payment is required. Payment must be received before your seat is guaranteed for an event. Credit card payment accepted online. Registration is $30 prior to June 16, 2024. Starting June 17th registration is $45. Registration closes July 10, 2024.
