Don’t miss your chance to hear directly from the Small Business Lead at the NIH’s, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), Dr. Stephanie Davis.

 

The NHLBI plans, conducts and supports research, clinical trials and demonstration and education projects related to the causes, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart, blood vessel, lung, and blood diseases and sleep disorders. It also supports research on the clinical use of blood and all aspects of the management and safety of blood resources. The NHLBI SBIR/STTR program fosters basic, applied, and clinical research on all product and service development related to the mission of the NHLBI.

 

Join this overview of the NIH/NHLBI program and learn, from the source, what technologies they are looking for and what’s needed to submit a successful proposal. Following the presentation there will be ample of Q&A time with the presenter.

Small Business Program Lead, National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI)

 

Stephanie Davis, Ph.D. has served as the Small Business Program Lead at the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) since 2020. Stephanie received her B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2012 from Florida Southern College. She received her M.S. in Medical Sciences (2015) and her Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology (2016) from the University of South Florida. Stephanie was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Kentucky in the Department of Neurology. In addition to her postdoctoral appointment, she also interned part-time with the UK Office of Technology Commercialization from January to July 2019. Before joining the Innovation Office, Stephanie was selected for the 2019-2020 Executive Branch AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellows Program, where she served as a Program Manager in the National Institute on Aging Office of Small Business Research.
